Project Details

  • Led knowledge transfer for a program replacing mainframe pricing screens, and documented the Reserves, Lock-Ins, and Upcharges business rules from working sessions with buyers and operations staff.
  • Designed the API strategy that moved reserve processing off direct database access, establishing that each team owns and exposes its own data through shared, reusable endpoints.
  • Built an automated validation suite that verified every cost record migrated from the legacy database matched the new platform field for field.
  • Built comparison tooling that reconciled the new reserve data against the weekly mainframe reports customers already relied on, surfacing calculation and scope defects before user acceptance testing.
  • Provided Elasticsearch indexing and search architecture guidance for the customer-facing product catalog, and reviewed client developer pull requests for API and UI changes.
  • Authored the production go-live runbook across vendor, order, customer portal, and mainframe teams, defining go/no-go checkpoints, a two-tier rollback, and the point of no return, then re-sequenced and parallelized the plan from a timed dry run.
  • Ran the production cutover from a live go-live console tracking 36 runbook steps across four teams, completing the mainframe data migration and cross-system syncs in a single six-hour window with no rollback and the mainframe screens retired.
  • Proposed an AI-assisted development plan for the client team to accelerate migration of legacy application endpoints.
